Not a bad film. But when the raw material is this cinematic, that gap deserves an honest conversation.
The Opening — A Great Line That Goes Nowhere
The narrator says early on: “We bring designers, engineers, and technicians together to bring Honda’s dream of flight to reality.”
Honda’s dream of flight. That’s a story. That’s emotion.
But that line is never revisited. The film opens a door — and walks straight past it.
R&D Section — The Best Part
The structural test lab is where this film earns its best moment.
A test rig physically simulates thousands of hours of real-world flight on an airframe — before a single passenger boards. They age the aircraft on purpose to guarantee your safety.
That’s jaw-dropping. And the film captures it well. Properly lit, well framed, genuinely interesting. This is engineering excellence showcase filmmaking at its best.

Production Line — Surprisingly Strong
“Technicians in white uniforms — because good products come from clean workplaces.”
One philosophy. One visual. Ten seconds. Says more about Honda’s culture than five minutes of narration ever could.
The paint robot is the standout shot — a machine applying paint to a jet with programmed precision. Pure manufacturing process cinematography, and it works.

Delivery Center — The Biggest Missed Opportunity
A customer walks into a hangar. Their jet is on a turntable. The team that built it is standing there.
That moment — filmed right — sells more jets than any brochure.
Instead, it’s narrated over B-roll. No slow motion. No natural sound. No emotion.
This was the Rocky steps of this film. And it was left completely on the table.

The Verdict
Clean, professional, thorough — and in parts, genuinely cinematic. But the delivery center, the single most emotional moment in the entire story, was treated like a footnote.
